Not-So Silent Night, Baby!

Dear Friend, Family Member, Loved One, ETC!

Do you like Two Seconds? Do you read our blog? (do ya?) Do you wish there was something you could do to help that awesome band have breakthough success!?
OF Course you do!

But how?

I'll tell you.

It's pretty simple, really. We've been selected as one of the top 25 bands in the running to open for The Shins, Modest Mouse, The Raconteurs, The Killers, and many more at Live 105.3's winter music festival, Not -SO-silent night! Now it's up to our friends to go to www.live105.imeem.com and vote for us online! Tell your mom! Tell your cat! Tell a friend!

Thanks for your consideration.

Sierra.

It's been a while.

Greetings.
Lets see. It's been a while, who've you been? How's work? School? Your mom? The kids?
good good.
Things on our end are going fairly well, thanks. Well... With the exception of the fact that Lily's car was broken into and several important things were stolen including lily's wallet, her GINORMOUS and pricey calculator, and my orange guitar.
We've always loved the homeless! We've never been anything but friendly to our neighborhood bums! I dish out change practically every time I walk down the street, you know? Unto the homeless, I now pose this question:
WHAT THE HELL, MAN!?

Two Seconds hereby proclaims to cut off all diplomatic ties with the homeless. We are instating an embargo on imported goods (bumported bads) from the homeless. We're petitioning for higher taxes and fewer social services for the homeless! (except for White Cloud and Deniss, we know you'd never do anything like that. infact, come live with me!)

IN CONCLUSION!
Please come see our show at Bottom Of The Hill tonight (yes, that's sat. nov. 18th)
and buy our CD so we can pay our producer so he feels like buying me a guitar because I sure as hell don't feel like paying for one.

Grumble Grumble.

Word to ... Other stuff

The night of hallows Eve is approaching.
the witching hour is nigh...
and we all know what that means, right?
It means that we need to figure out something really clever to dress up as for this stupid holiday and stupid Hell 3- WHICH for those of you who don't know, is being held at the VERGE this year.
H
uh. Weird, right?

I've heard several rumors about a candle-light vigil for imusicast. See myspace events for more information.

UUUUUUMMM, Be Your Own Pet at bottom of the hill tonight- thurston Moore and I agree that they rock.
also, Elephone at bottom of the hill tomorrow night! All ages! -who is in that band, anyway??? I don't know, check out the myspace.

This is Sierra Frost, signing off.

Word to yo MOMA!

Our weekend is going to be extremely hectic, so Sierra and I planned this lovely Friday night accordingly. You know... didn't get all dressed up, wore that type of clothing that is comfortable but, go figure, looks horrible, didn't worry about anything and just figured it would be a carefree coffee-shop-maybe-see-a-movie kinda night.

Wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. As usual.

I got out of my car and was swamped by about 7 or 8 old friends, around most of whom I wasn't comfortable looking like a dead person. But it didn't stop there. We must have conveniently run into about 25 more important, attractive people. So to anyone who experienced my goofy stepmom clothing tonight, I apologize. I promise I'm not always that unfashionable. Let's say I had a hangoger.

Speaking of inside jokes, check out the new "Influences" section on the space. We figured that all those awkward moments in life are truly the most influencial. Read it... see if you can't relate to most of them.

Tomorrow and Sunday we are adventuring to the point of literally having a written, color coordinated schedule and map. The adventure includes the Museum of Modern Art, practice with Elephone, playing an amazing show at the Verge on Sunday, and more. Come hang out with us?

Peace and love!
Lily

Hang-ogre

Hey loves,

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to our CD release on Friday. You guys are the best friends a girl could ask for. (and trust me, I've asked!)

If you're at all interested in seeing films, sounding intellectual or maybe just impressing your friends and family, I strongly suggest seeing Jesus Camp. It's a very moving, yet surprisingly objective and informative little flick about the evangelical Christian right. Lily and I saw it on Saturday and I swear it made us more insightful and profound. Interestingly enough, the films was directed by two women- Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady.(coincidence? I think not.) I hereby award unto the film Jesus Camp the Two Seconds Stamp of Approval.
Heidi and Rachel, we solute you. *Shaaaa-WING!*

Sunday night I went with an old buddy of mine to see Sonic Youth at the Fillmore- AGAIN, and I swear to god guys- if you don't start worshipping them now, I don't know how we can continue to be friends. Really.

A hefty (and I do mean hefty!) congratulations is in order this day to my esteemed colleague, Lily Faden, for today said colleague quit her oppressive and uninspiring job. Bless you, Lily: Blily. May you soon find a means of income that challenges and intrigues your lofty intellect.

I will leave you with this:

I often thought that if there had been a good rap group around in those days, I might have chosen a career in music instead of politics.
~ Richard M. Nixon

Good night.
